Almost time for #2 – Part 2 of 2

Here is the second part of this post…(if you are starting here, scroll down a bit to “Part 1”. I had some trouble getting the website to work so I had to do it this way)

We had a freak snow storm with just enough snow to be fun in the morning and melt by the evening. Jack loves the snow and his new snow boots that light up (I will post a video of this later).

Later in November, after the snow had melted, we woke up one cold morning and Jack insisted on going for a bike ride. It was freezing but we went around the block and everyone was happy. I don’t think Brian and I can complain about a little boy who loves to wear his helmet and ride bikes with his parents!!

Jack also channeled his inner Elton John when he found some old sunglasses his cousin Claire had given him. He was so proud of himself and loved wearing them.

There are a couple more good photos I’d love to share, so if this baby is as late as Jack I might just get to post them! Here is to hoping you don’t get to see them 🙂

Almost time for #2 – Part 1 of 2

Hello

Ok, so the goal was to get this updated by the time #2 came. Tomorrow is the baby’s due date so we have some work to do!  As you all know, Jack was not exactly on time…11 days late. So I am thinking that we probably have some time, but I would still like to get us up to speed. There are just so many cute photos to go through. So here we go…

We lost power for a week after the hurricane. Luckily we were able to go to B-more. It was nice to have an unexpected visit with Lala and Opa. We went for walks, played in the leaves, and went to the zoo. When we got home there were lots of leaves to clean up. Luckily that was all the ‘damage’ we had and Jack was able to help us clean up.

Jack has realized his enginering roots and LOVES Legos. Brian has been trying to teach him about wide and sturdy foundaitons but he has a real affinity for tall, skinny, precarious structures…and knocking them over.

To be continued in another post…

Halloween and trucks

October was a good month for us. Halloween was postponed due to the storm but Jack still got to be a chicken at school and then again when we trick or treated a couple days later. He seemed to have a good time but didn’t understand why we weren’t going into everyone’s house.

We also went to a Touch a Truck event where they brought in every truck you could think of to a parking lot and the kids got to get up close and personal with them. This was also a hit and an event I think we will be sure to make in the future. Here are some pics from Oct.
